Match report On a baking hot day the boys turned up and up and we had 13 (how did this happen Mr Miller)

Hertford despite being told it was 12 a side came with 11 so we lent them Simon Moses (as he was the last to arrive) and a 12 a side friendly ensued.

In our traditional method eveyone was going to bowl and everyone would bat. This sometimes leads to uslosing because we try and give everyone a game and guess what THIS HAPPENED TODAY.

Apologies to Aran Comfort but your figures will not appear as I can only fit in 11 names (Not that he will mind!!!!(

Basically we lost the toss they batted and had 4 very good bats all the way throught he order. Ridley scored 24, Dear got 20, Carlson thought he was Adam Gilchrist and smashed everything for 14 and Clarke got a wellmade 27 with support from Osgood 17. Shows how fair we are sometimes as I would have retired them all on 20!!!!!!

Bowling honours went to the Under 12s with ben Cherkas 1/13 Oliver Jackson 2/14 David Lawrence 2/6 supported by Wicket Keeper Cohen who got 2/16 at the death.

I had to leave but the boys batted well BUT HAD TOO MANY TO CHASE and again I think we fell down in our trying to give everyone a game as Pavir and Sam did not bat. Batting honours went to Manjul Ganatra with 23 and Mehul Shah with 14 not out Oliver Jackson with 11 not out and Dean Caplin with a bludgeoned 16. Modesty forbids me from mentioning Daniel getting Double figures.

Simon jumped for joy getting Yoni out bowled and also had David LAwrence caught. Thanks to Simon for playing for the opposition and playing so well

Over the last 2 games 23 different boys have played for the Under 13's and this will be the last time we play a friendly like this as going into Under 15's it gets serious.

Thanks to everyone who has played and supported Paul and Myself. Special thanks to all the parents who have backed us over the last 3 years.

Hopefully see some of you next year in Under 15B and hoepfully lose some of you to Under 15A
