Match report Radlett lost the toss and the home side elected to bat first

Arnav and Billy opened the bowling and got one and two wickets respectively. Daniel and Thomas were in for the next 4 overs and pegged the total score after 8 overs to 3 runs.

Kieran and Rian bowled with great spirit with Kieran getting two wickets. A special mention for Rian who has matured over the season in to a great bowler who knows how to vary the pace and spin to keep the batsman guessing. A great achievement for someone so young.

James and Josh completed the lasted four overs and St Albans finished on 241 for 6

Kieran and Rian opened the batting and we lost a wicket after the first ball. At this level the batsman has to learn that if the ball is on the stumps then you must play the delivery with a straight bat. Inspite of the early setback the pair ran frantically between the wickets and got Radlett off to a flying start scoring 20 runs.

Billy and Arnav added another two runs in their 4 overs. This would have been far more if they had not lost 5 wickets. Billy gets a special mention for really batting well in his first competitive match

Tommy and Daniel steady the ship with some great running between the wickets and got the score to 242. Josh and James came in for the final four overs and played sensible cricket and Radlett finished on 263.

This was the last match of the season and it was wonderful to finish on a high.....

I want to take this opportunity of thanking all the parents and especially the children for making the season thoroughly enjoyable.

It has, from a personal perspective been really gratifying to see the development from lots of potential ...... to real cricket talent.
