Match report Daniel, the Radlett Captain, shook hands with his opposite number and called heads. It landed on tails and we were asked to bat.

The first game at home vs Watford was a very close match with Radlett winning by one run. With this in mind, it was vital we scored as many runs as possible without losing our wickets.

Josh and Rian came in with focus and took the score to 9 runs. Next in were Daniel and Tom who got to 13 runs in their four overs with Tom scoring a couple of really good boundaries.

At the half way point we were on 222 with the loss of 3 wickets.

The team orders were to let loose and score freely.

Oliver and Dylan duly obliged getting 20 runs in their 4 overs.

This left the last pair of Josh and kieran to get to a defendable total. Josh opened his account with a six and Kieran quickly followed with a four. They reached a final score of 277 for 4 wickets.

To win the match, Radlett had to bowl straight and field with passion. Both Daniel and Josh Morris got a wicket each and kept the score after four overs to 202. Josh gets a special mention for getting a wicket maiden with a great delivery which was hit hard to square leg where Josh de Caires took a brilliant catch. Not looking to be out done Rian and Tom came in to the bowling attack with real purpose. Rian bowled the perfect over and got a well deserved double wicket maiden. The first of the season. It goes to show that if you focus on the target and get the right line and length (with turn) .... you will get wickets.

Kieran and Dylan bowled straight and kept the score to 228 after 12 overs.

This left Oliver and Josh who bowled with pace and accuracy. Oliver got two great wickets and Josh got one.

This was the best bowling and fielding I have seen all season and shows that the boys are really developing in to great cricketers.

Man of the match goes to Rian for his brilliant bowling and overall commitment to the team

Radlett won by 42 runs.
