Match report Surely the best batting performance shown after winning the toss and chosing to bat by skipper Sayef. U9A had a bit of a slow start scoring 14 runs of the 1st 4 over, but with all the extras and not giving the wickets away we are 236 after the 8th over. Asher, Mihir, David and Mathew scoring only 13 runs but lost wicket only once, moving in to the 2nd half of the batting innings Sayef is out 1st ball but come back strong scoring 12 runs with 2 briliant drive straight down the ground for 4 and is well supported by particularly eager Adi. Final stage of the innings brings in Harry and Mipham scoring 21 runs together, Harry 11, Mipham 10, totalling 270 runs. Not a bad total to defend away from home and against a rather noisy opposition.

We open the bowling attack with Harry and Mipham and after 4 over Shenley is still on 200, scoring 15 albait loosing 3 wickets. 2nd quarter Radlett is still on the course knocking 2 more wickets in the same over by Adi but 2 expensive over put the opposition 232. Skipper Sayef tried hard to bring in the discipline in the field but somehow we lost the concentration in the closing stage and not managing any wickets the game went slowly out of our reach.

All in all encouraging improvement, we are not too far away from the 1st win of the season. Rest well and be ready to give another performance like this next time when you are in the field.
