Radlett won a closely fought friendly match on the 2nd of August against Hemel U13s at Hemel. Hemel won the toss and the home side elected to bowl. Openers Matt Soffair and Bhavick Shah did a good job of not loosing their wickets early on against the opening and first change bowlers. After 6 overs Bhavick Shah was retired. However after 9 overs only 29 runs were on the board. However Baiju Ganatra and Matt Soffair pushed on and produced 42 runs to take Radlett to 60 after 14 overs. Matt Soffair (25) and Baiju Ganatra (8) then retired to let the stroke makers come in. Radlett then had a collapse with 3 players getting run out as Radlett only managed 71.

Opening bowler John Mansell took a wicket off his first ball when the batsmen hit the wicket. Radlett looked in trouble until leg–spinners Matt Soffair and Jake Jones took 2 wickets in 2 overs both having figures of 2–5. Matt Simpson, Parag Shah and Kiran Shah took 1 wicket in their first spells. Hemel’s Murphy made 15. However Parag Shah (2-14) and a run out from Matt Soffair finished the home side off for 63. Nick Robinson was exceptional behind the stumps taking 2 stumpings, 1 catch and 1 run out. John Mansell marshalled his troops exceptionally well.
