Match report Our first Sunday morning game, with the obligatory cloud cover, drops of rain, and parents huddled under umbrellas! Radlett were away to Watford Town, and after a delayed start, Watford were put into bat.

Radlett continued their good form in the field. The bowling was generally very good again, and whilst last week saw leg spin decimate Tring Park, this time it was out-and-out pace that knocked the wind out of Watford. Piers Dorward was particularly devastating with figures of 3-2-3-3! The fielding was generally tight, and the accuracy of the bowling and frequency of wickets meant the score was always kept in check.

The main positives of the day came from our batting performance. Aside from the occasional, Twenty-20 induced, swipe across the line, the boys put on a great performance with the bat. A few shots really caught the eye and it was encouraging to see the boys lose their fear of the hard ball and knock it around to all parts. Another positive was the running between wickets - it was good to see the boys taking advantage of misfields and making sure they got full value for their shots.

The solid batting partnerships ensured the scoreboard kept on ticking, with Adam Kohler & Marcus Storey scoring 31, Rahil Thapar & Harry Scott putting on 29 and the final pair of James McCallum & Max Sahota finishing off the innings with a quick fire 30.

All in all, a commanding performance with the bat and the ball. Well done Radlett!

Finally, I would like to say a big thank you to all the parents who came and supported the boys (and me!) It's always nice to hear the cheers from the terraces!!
