Match report On a lovely morning Radlett embarked on their final league match of the season against Redbourn with the prize at stake a place in the quarter finals.
Batting first Radlett found it hard to impose themselves on a tight bowling attack and very keen fielding. Only George of the top order managed to reach double figures, hitting 25. Faced with some straight bowling on a pitch that kept low the middle order found it hard to accelerate but Sachen (10) and Shreyas (13 not out) helped to push the score to a respectable level.

Redbourn started slowly against an excellent opening spell from Josh and George and were behind the rate. Crucially though they kept wickets in tact, ran well between the wickets and profited from some sloppiness in the field. The acceleration was timed to perfection and in the end victory came with over 2 overs to spare.

Well done to the boys on some exciting cricket and tense finishes this season. The fact that we were put into a harder league made for some great games but undeniably contributed to not qualifying for the knockout stages.
