Match report Radlett edged home in a nailbiting finish on an interesting pitch with very little bounce. Batting first Ben and George dealt with the difficult conditions well, putting on 29 before George was run out. Runs were always at a premium but the boys batted sensibly, Ben top scoring with 15. Bobby hit a quick fire 12 to push the score up to a respectable 95 for 6.

Some tight bowling by Aneesh (2-16) and George (3-9) kept the Redbourn run rate well below the asking rate. The fielding was generally excellent on the bumpy outfield. A couple of poor overs put the opposition back in the match and as the pressure grew, panic ensued and decision making in the field suffered. With 8 needed off the last over, 11 captains on the field and several more off it directed proceedings as the tension mounted. With 4 required off the final ball, Aneesh produced a match winning ball to demolish the stumps and send the crowd wild.

With the exception of the last 5 overs this was the most mature performance I have witnessed from the boys - well done.
