Match report A close match was won in the final over after Radlett made hard work of it.
Radlett fielded after losing the toss and were generally pretty sharp in the field with Jack/Rohan executing a smart run out to end the innings.Harry M took a very good high catch, Will a good low one and Harman plucked a highly improbable one one handed as it was looping over his head.
Rohan took a smart stumping and most of the bowling was tidy.Harry M had an extended spell and bowled with pace, Tome cleaned up 3 batsmen quickly and Pav debuting for the U14s too k two wickets in an over and really span his leg breaks.
Now to the chase.The boys were always up with the rate but maybe needed to think about getting ahead of it to compensate for falling wickets or a few good overs.The OA's bowling was prety decent and there were not too many cheap runs on offer.Tom unluckily edged one on and Jaimin was bowled off the penultimate ball of the tall threatening opening bowler.Maybe he could have seen him off but then Jaimin always goes for his shots which is a credit to him.
HWill and Harry M took a liking to the left arm spinner but when harry was bowled for 18, a few tidy overs slowed us down.Jack was LBW pulling a ball which kept low and when Rohan managed to get himself caught at mid off pressure began to tell.Fortunately after one desperate mow that resulted in a huge skier to midwicket which was dropped, Will kept his head down and saw the team home, finishing on a well made 48 not out off 52 balls.It was closer than we would have liked but a good education for the boys in how to chase down a total.
