Match report Finally a glorious sunny evening! Radlett won the toss and batted first.West Herts were competitive throughout, bowled to a tight off stump line and fielded very well, particularly in the covers.Harry smashed 10 in the second over before being bowled and scoring was hard work for the next 10 overs.Jaimin skied one bringing Rohan to the wicket and he and Will put on 77.At 12 overs we were 56-1-a disappointingly slow rate of progress.Will seemed to be having some trouble with his timing,at least partly explained later by the realisation his new bat and pride and joy had developed a crack the size of the San Andreas fault.However, the rate picked up well from this point with singles taken with more urgency and the boundary count rising.Rohan was caught for 33 and Will perished in the last over for 47 to leave us with a respectable 121.
West Herts had one very good opener who started scoring very quickly.Luke was bowling with frightening pace and after bowling one opener accounted for their gun player LBW.At this stage West Herts were 46-2 and well up with the rate.Harry Mistry and Ramana slowed them down before Tom and Jaimin strangled the middle and lower order with tight medium pace.Jaimin picked up a brilliant 5-13-the best figures I can remember for this age group.The fielding was sharp all night.James Stowell was keen in the covers and took a good catch, while Freddie and Ben fielded enthusiastically and didnt let anything through.Freddie made one brilliant diving stop at fine leg and ran out West Herts number 3 with a good throw to Tom.
Man of the match, without a shadow of a doubt was Jaimin with his 5 wicket haul-a great performance from the ultimate team player.
