Match report 9 man Radlett ran a strong St Albans team boasting 2 county players agonisingly close.Shockingly only 2 U15 boys made themselves available for this game.Thanks to Caroline and James Lawrence for sticking at getting a team out.They were badly let down.
Unfortunately James was out for 1 but Will Wright (34) and Jaimin Patel (30) laid the foundations for an almost defendable 91.Excellent bowling from Ben Lederman, Coppers and Luke Paice had St Albans 8 down.When Jack Cox executed a direct hit run out it seemed against all odds Radlett's rag bag collection might snatch a famous victory.Unfortunately St Albans' best player, Goddard, stuck it out and scored 41 to see them home.He had batted down the order such was St Albans confidence.It nearly backfired and showed the folly of too much experimentation with the batting order.They'll take us more seriously next time.
If we can raise a side that is.
