Match report A very inexperienced side showed great spirit and teamwork but were well beaten by a good side who bowled well and were very happy to punish our bowling. Unfortunately we lost 7 wickets to good straight balls and found it difficult to get past their field to score any runs. Laura W was the strongest of our batters with a top score of 9 and she also bowled well. Nikita did very well in the role of wicketkeeper and everyone fielded with energy and enthusiasm. Eleanor Gray had to retire hurt when she collided with a batsman's helmet and sustained a cut above the eye. ( She now looks like a boxer!) Well done to Alex Hampton for taking over as captain and organising the bowling changes so efficiently. The girls all learnt a lot from the game and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
