Match report Radlett V were well beaten by newly promoted Botany Bay III at Bushey. It was a very disappointing afternoon as six very acceptable catches were dropped and Radlett's final wicket fell on 169, one run short of the last bonus point after a very fair halfway declaration.
Only Tom Clare threatened among the top order after Marcus Freeman had run himself out off his first ball. Harry Will and Johnny Armitage enjoyed a late flurry, which should have at least deserved five bonus points.
However, the fifths have started their Division 11 campaign better than they did in 2009, when they moved up to the promotion chasers before the end of the season.
