Match report Radlett lost the toss on an extremely cold and miserable day in Oxford wicket just before. The match was reduced to the batting side facing 47 overs and Oxford would receive 38 in return to chase the runs.

Kabir Toor and James Lewis opened the batting and got the Radlett team off to a terrific start before Lewis lost his wicket just before lunch with the score on 57. Graham Dill joined Toor at the crease and it was not long until Toor edged to the keeper for a well played 38. The return of Graham Dill to Radlett did not last long when he edged a ball to the keeper a few overs later. Burger looked solid and knew he would have to keep the innings together if they wanted to post a good score. Wickets continued to fall and when skipper Burger played to early and hit the ball straight to cover Radlett were struggling at 89 for 7. The tail batted very well together and managed to bat out all the overs remaining and ended with the score on 129.

The pitch had a bit in it and Radlett would have fancied themselves winning the game if Burger and new comer Corran could strike early. They bowled well and runs were not easy to come by. Burger struck first when he bowled their opener with a beauty with the score on 31. Corran changed ends to bowl from Burger’s end where he picked up 2 wickets in one over for Oxford to find themselves 40 for 3. Radlett could sniff a rare victory, but knew Oxford had a long batting line up. Oxford batted well and managed to score the needed runs with a few overs remaining in terrible light and bitter cold conditions. Radlett lost 2 points due to slow over rate and find themselves at the bottom of the log with 4 points. They face High Wycombe at Cobden Hill this coming Saturday.
