Match report What fantastic weather to start our quest for success! Our game began with the Vags fielding, having lost the toss to Cambridge. Hard work for two and a half hours saw us field against a strong team with our bowlers making the opposition work! Excellent overs came from Hayley Arrol, Michelle Verroken, Katie Coppiters, Emi Barwell and Cath McNeill. Hayley managed to take two wickets whilst Michelle took one.

After hard work in the field Jo Ardley and Cath McNeill took to the crease to open the batting. Again we worked incredibly hard but the strength of the opposition saw us out for 78 runs. An impressive innings came from Emi Barwell who retired after 31 runs.

So with a final score of 254-78, I am sure the rest of the team would agree that it was an enjoyable day with a good effort from us. Now that the hardest game is out of the way we shall look forward to overcoming the remaining opposition for this season!
