Radlett CC 4th XI v Berkhamsted II on Sat 28 May 2005 at 1.30
Radlett CC Lost 11 runs

Match report A very good game of cricket and utter disappointment for Radlett. There were still 5.1 overs remaining when the final wicket fell in a match that should have been won at a canter.

Radlett were always up with the scoring rate after a good opening stand of 41 in seven overs between Matt Bell and Tony Peck. Berkhamsted seemed to have no bowlers able to control the scoring as Jim Clarke, Charlie Randall and Steve Marsh kept the runs flowing.

The final six wickets fell for 25 runs, mostly to silly shots, leaving Randall stranded at No 3, when steady pogress would have sufficed.

Radlett had 51 overs to get the runs after Mark Evans had taken five wickets in two spells, with Randall providing the best support. Berko lost three early wickets, and fought back well, but their final total was easily obtainable on a good pitch and fast outfield.
