Match report In an effort to show solidarity with Willows, Stupies tried hard to lose this game, exceeding the number of wickets ever lost in an indoor game, or that coudl be shown on the scoreboard. In total 12 wickets = 60 runs were lost. But the resolve of the team to control the field and excellent bowling from Piya Haria and Emily Grist meant that Hemel lost 8 wickets and failed to score sufficient runs to overtake the 197runs Radlett Stumpies had posted.
Batting was not Stumpies strong point. Openers CM & LVJ lost 7 wickets (35 runs) and put just 12 further runs on the board in 4 overs, EG & LB lost just 2 wickets and scored 57 runs in their 4 overs partnership. MV & PH held off the bowling onslaught to lose 3 wickets and add a further 7 runs in the final 3 overs.
