Scorecard

Berkhamsted v Radlett CC U15 on Wed 24 Jun 2009 at 5.30pm
Radlett CC Lost by 8 runs

Match report Good effort from all the boys and it was an unfortunate loss. Bowling first, Berkhamsted got off to a good start, scoring at 7 an over. Then Rikin came in and bowled their opener on his first ball. In the same over, Tej did a good run out which brought pressure as the openers were out. Hershil, Manaal and Khalil bowled tight, picking up wickets. It was a great comeback by the bowlers to restrict Berkhamsted to 122 runs after their promising start.

Losing the early wicket of Ben Kohler was unfortunate. Rikin and Tej batted well together, putting on a good partnership. After they both got out, James and Angus batted fairly well, and after Josh and Manaal, the batting collapsed. It was a close loss, with Kushal hitting a few balls for runs at the end.

Radlett nearly won as they had eight balls remaining before they were bowled out. Well played to all the boys though.

Special thanks to Daniel Cohen for coming and encouraging the boys, to "Tee Cee" for scoring and to Bernie for watching.
