Match report Radlett found run scoring tough on a deceptively large outfield against spirited fielding from Bushey.The bowling was relatively unthreatening but the batsmen had to put the pace on the ball.Poor Jaimin never got a chance to sample the bowling,being run out withour facing-a horrible way to go.
Will and Joe added 45 runs with sonme fluent strokeplay before Joe toe ended a pull to mid wicket. Will retired on 33 but like Harry,who made his debut tonight, found that a lot of his best drives were hitting fielders who were set deep to cut off the boundaries.Simeon and Harry forged a useful partnership before harry sliced a catch to point.In this phase of the game we probably should have taken more singles and finished a good 25 runs short of par-although Jack boosted the total with two boundaries in the last over
Bushey set off at a cracking pace helped by some fearsomely quick but loose bowling.42 extras were generously donated by radlett including 3 6's-no ball beamers that went for 4.Simeon broght contriol back-and 2 wickets and Giles and Alex also bowled with control.Harry took 2 wickets and showed that he will be a frightening proposition.
The margin of victory should have been bigger and we have to be careful with the extras countas it will cost us dear against stronger teams.
